Job Description |
The Office of Consumer Credit Commissioner is a financial regulatory state agency and offers a competitive salary and State of Texas benefits. Performs administrative support and technical program work for the examination section of the agency. Work involves maintaining database and imaging systems, opening and distributing agency mail, and providing support for field examiners. Duties also involve processing correspondence; reviewing forms for completeness; preparing routine reports; logging travel vouchers; providing information on rules, regulations, policies, and procedures; answering routine phone calls; and performing general administrative support and data entry duties. Works under moderate supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Essential Job Functions |
Performs administrative support and technical program work for the Examination section of the agency. Work involves maintaining database and imaging systems, assisting with the mailing of agency publications, opening and distributing agency mail, and providing support for field examiners. Works under moderate supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Processes correspondence.
Reviews forms for completeness.
Prepares routine reports.
Logs travel vouchers and timesheets.
Provides information on rules, regulations, policies, and procedures

Minimum Qualifications |
High school degree or equivalent with two years of experience in clerical, general office, or administrative support.
Experience and education may be substituted for one another.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities |
Knowledge of office practices; administrative and technical procedures.
Knowledge of grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
Skill in the use of standard office equipment, computers, and computer software.
Skill in the use of document imaging equipment.
Ability to respond to public inquiries in a timely manner.
Ability to implement administrative procedures.
Ability to interpret rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Ability to maintain effective working relationships, be detail-oriented, and work well on own initiative to meet deadlines.
