As part of the annual renewal process, an annual report must be filed using a form furnished by the commissioner. Annual report forms will be posted online, in May of each year, and are due June 1st.
These submissions will be collected under the examination authority of the Texas Finance Code,§371.201, and will be treated as confidential under the provisions of Texas Finance Code, §371.206. The commissioner may publish an aggregate report.
A report for each licensed location must be filed for the period of January 1 to December 31 of the preceding year and include:
- Number of Pawn Loans made during the year
- Amount advanced in connection with the pawn loans made during the year
- Number of pawn loans outstanding on the December 31st immediately preceding the due date of the report
- Amount of pawn loans outstanding on the December 31st immediately preceding the due date of the report
A copy of this report must be retained and made available to examiners during an examination.
