Leslie Pettijohn has served as Texas Consumer Credit Commissioner since her appointment by the Finance Commission of Texas in 1995. With more than 30 years of experience in financial regulation, she oversees the supervision of 11 types of nonbank financial service providers holding approximately 25,000 licenses and registrations statewide.
Pettijohn is committed to maintaining a fair, balanced, and responsible financial services market that protects consumers while supporting economic opportunity across Texas. A longtime leader in the National Association of Consumer Credit Administrators, she is a Certified Public Accountant and a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin.
