Regulated Industries

The OCCC issues several licenses and registrations necessary for various consumer credit industries. The Office of Consumer Credit Commissioner maintains regulatory oversight of six categories of licensed industries and four categories of registered industries.

Licensed industries include those that are required to obtain operational licenses from the agency and that are subject to routine and periodic examination of records, processes, and compliance with statute and regulatory controls.

Reviewed Motor Vehicle Software Vendors

The following software programs have been reviewed for compliance with the provisions of Chapter 348 of the TEXAS FINANCE CODE. The compliance review was based upon a limited sampling of submitted retail installment sales contracts. The review of the software program did not encompass every aspect of Chapter 348. Furthermore, the compliance review did not address previous versions of the software programs. When available, the version number of the software program reviewed is shown.
