How do I apply for a position with the Office of Consumer Credit Commissioner?
To apply for a position, submit a State of Texas Application by fax (512-936-7610), mail (Human Resources - Office of Consumer Credit Commissioner, 2601 North Lamar Blvd., Austin, TX 78705), email (personnel@occc.texas.gov) or in person at the above address.

Pawnshop License reinstatement period opens on July 01. Pawn shop licenses not renewed by June 30 have 180 days after the cancellation date at midnight to reinstate* their cancelled license(s).

How to Apply:
Businesses that need to apply for a Property Tax Lenders License must create an account and submit the application through NMLS. If you have an existing NMLS account for the entity you are needing to license, log in and apply through that existing account.
Motor Vehicle Sales Finance (MVSF)
Overview
Both sellers and holders of retail installment contracts are required to have motor vehicle sales finance licenses.
Interest or finance charges are not required for a transaction to be considered financed.
A sale is considered financed when the buyer agrees to make payments over time. Exception: Resale purpose. See laws (statutes & rules) below for more information.
